Cristina Callegari Kanellopoulos, Operations Manager

Cristina joined Julia Shildkret Real Estate Group in the beginning of 2007, where she has been charged with the task of Managing all facets of the organization under Julia Shildkret.  Cristina began her career in Finance in 1993, and during that time she worked in various capacities for such prestigious organizations as Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, and MetLife.  Her 14 years of experience in Finance, Sales and Management gives Cristina a well-rounded, and diverse background that lends itself to Real Estate.  She feels that she has finally found the perfect combination of challenges in being our Sales & Operations Manager that allows her to fully utilize her Managment & Sales experience.  In 2007, Cristina was recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who, for "Exemplifying Leadership and Professional Achievement in her Occupation." Additionally, she has published 5 successful articles related to finance that can be found on over 40 financial websites.  Cristina is happily married, and she and her husband reside in Westbury with their Shih Tzu.  When she can find some spare time Cristina enjoys Horseback Riding, Traveling, Antiquing, Painting and Interior Decorating.  Cristina has the following Licenses & Designations:  Real Estate Sales Person, Financial Advisor, Investment Advisor, Series 6, Series 63, Life and Health.

Ari Abramov, Buyer Specialist

After graduating with an Associate Degree in Accounting, from Queens College, Ari quickly realized that crunching numbers was not his passion.  So, for the past eight years, Ari has been working in the fast-paced, Forest Hills sales market where he specialized in Co-op/Condo Sales and Rentals. Ari decided to join the Julia Shildkret Real Estate Team because he grew up in Fresh Meadows, and always dreamed of working in, and with the community that he loves and knows.  He felt there was no better place for him than with the renowned Julia Shildkret Team!  Ari brings a friendly, and patient demeanor to all his client dealings, as well as a wealth of experience.  In addition, to his eight years of Real Estate Sales success, Ari owns and manages several 6-Family buildings in Queens, and is a recipient of the 2002 Million Dollar Club award. While he was born in Uzbekistan, he considers New York his home, and he cherishes every moment spent with his wife of 4 years, and his two beautiful daughters.  In his spare time, Ari enjoys bike riding, basketball, and soccer.

David Berl, Buyer Specialist

David was the very first addition that Julia Shildkret made after she decided to form her own company, Julia Shildkret Real Estate Group, LLC.  He has worked as Julia's Buyer Specialist for almost five years, and has helped Hundreds of families find, and buy their dream home.  Whether it's the picky first time buyer, or the shrewd investor, David has the patience and ability to get the deal closed.  David received his Bachelor's degree from Oswego State and recently obtained a Masters Degree in 2006.  He currently owns a house in Fresh Meadows, and resides with his beautiful wife, Anna, and their puppy "Pinky."  In David's spare time he enjoys sports, traveling, listening to music and spending time with his friends and family.

Irene Gringuz, Buyer Specialist

Irene was born in Ukraine and raised in Forest Hills. After attending Forest Hills High School, Irene went on to two schools and earned a degree in computer science and management. In her last position at Cartier, Irene learned the true meaning of customer service while working with a demanding and discerning luxury market clientele. Irene has lots of patience and is always ready to work hard to best serve her customer's needs. She currently lives in Hollis Hills with her husband and two young children.

Chia Lin, Buyer Specialist

Chia graduated from the University of Stony Brook in 1993, and upon graduation began working in the wholesale jewelery industry. Chia's Customer Service experience sharpened her sales skills, as well as taught her the all important lesson of  putting her customers first.  After, the birth of her children Chia decided to take some time off from work to care for them.  During this time Chia was very active with PS #203, and is still currently on the PTA Executive Board, where she specializes in fundraising.  After some time of staying home, Chia realized that Real Estate is, and always has been the field that she wished to pursue.  After obtaining her license and undergoing extensive training under Julia Shildkret, Chia became a member of Julia Shildkret Real Estate Group's Buyer Specialist Team in January 2008, where she has quickly become a part of our Family.  Chia has been living in Bayside, Queens with her husband Paul and their two beautiful sons since 1996, and Chia is fluent in both Mandarin/Chinese and English.

Debra Murray, Buyer Specialist

Debra Murray attended Pace University, and Hunter College where she Majored in Political Science.  After graduation Debra began working for the New York City Council for 11 years where she coordinated special events, did constituent work, and intergovernmental affairs.  While she found working for the New York City Council satisfying she learned that her real passion was in Real Estate, and she spent 10 years working as a Real Estate Broker in Manhattan specializing in condos and coops on the Upper East Side.  After taking some time off to raise her two beautiful children, Debra joined the Julia Shildkret Real Estate Group, LLC in September 2007, and her experience in Sales, as well as her background in community affairs has made her a perfect addition to our team.  When Debra is not working she is an active PTA mom, as well as a member of the Executive Board at P.S. 188.  She, her husband George, and their beautiful children reside in Hollis Hills.

Carmen Abustan, Co-Op/Condo, Rental Specialist

Carmen earned her Bachelor Degrees in Biology and Political Science at Loyola University Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago.  After graduation she obtained her Paralegal Certification from Queens College.  Carmen worked for a few years as a Corporate Paralegal at an upscale law firm where she was heavily involved in M&A, Securities and Credit deals.  After having the opportunity to work on a few commercial Real Estate Deals, Carmen realized her true passion for Real Estate, and she began working as a Showing Agent in the competitive Manhattan Real Estate market.  While she loved working in the Manhattan Real Estate market, she preferred to work closer to her South Flushing residence, which feels "more like home" to her being originally from Chicago.  She joined the Julia Shildkret Real Estate Group, LLC in the beginning of 2008, and has loved working in the strong tight communities of North Queens.  In Carmen's spare time, she enjoys practicing Martial arts, and most importantly spending time with her family.  Carmen is also fluent in Tagalog/Filipino.

Miri Kozhinoff, Rental, Co-op, and Condo Specialist

Miri attended the New York Institute of Technology and majored in Interior Design while she worked in the wholesale jewelry Industry.  Working in the jewelry industry involved administrative and office management in a large corporation, which then led her to the Sales and Marketing division of high-end jewelry products. Miri truly loves working with people and, this experience inspired her to work in Real Estate.  Miri was raised in Hollis Hills where she continues to live.  In her spare time Miri enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.
